I love being outside and painting is a way to connect with the landscape, weather, and nature. Ordinary subjects in the landscape catch my eye: shapes of sky framed by buildings, patches of grass or soil defined by pavement, and open space between structures.
My landscapes painted on site can be quick studies, or, take all day. I use oils on panel, linen and canvass. Larger paintings are constructed inside the studio from studies, memory and invention.
Commissions and work in Public Collections include The Milton S Hershey Medical Center, Hershey PA, Lancaster General Hospital and the Anne B Barshinger Cancer Institute, Lancaster PA.
